[ FRA · STANDARD REGION ]
Servers in Frankfurt, Germany
a standard region, labelled honestly
Frankfurt is fast, superbly connected and full of hardware — and it is a standard region, not a safe-harbour one. German law applies here in the ordinary way, and NoDMCAVPS says so plainly rather than letting the word "offshore" do quiet work it has not earned.
What the law actually says here
Germany has a well-developed body of law around hosting liability and an active enforcement culture. We act where German law requires it. Choosing Frankfurt for its latency is a perfectly good decision; choosing it and expecting the treatment our safe-harbour regions receive is a mistake, and it is exactly the mistake this page exists to prevent.
What Germany is good for
- Latency-critical European services with no jurisdictional requirement
- GPU workloads where raw capacity and connectivity decide
- Front-end proxies for an origin held elsewhere
What it is not the right choice for
- Anything chosen for takedown resistance — that is what Moldova, Bulgaria and Panama are for
Latency
Roughly 5-20 ms across western Europe. The lowest figures on the whole network.
Available here
- DMCA-Ignored VPS — from $4.50/mo
- Offshore Dedicated — from $69/mo
- GPU Servers — from $95/mo
- Offshore RDP — from $9.60/mo
- 10 Gbps Unmetered — from $37.50/mo
Perfectly good. Just not safe-harbour, and we will not let the label blur.
